Fokus Fabrik: Fuusio Pattern, Printed Cushions

Fokus Fabrik is a Finnish textile design company specializing in printed fabrics and everyday textile products. The company was founded in 2005 by four young designers Tiia Eronen (b. 1978), Eeva Heikkinen (b. 1975), Laura Järveläinen (b. 1975), and Hanna Kerman (b. 1978). Heikkinen and Järveläinen are graduates of the University of Art and Design Helsinki while Eronen and Kerman have design degrees from the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, Sweden.
The four designers identify “urban nature” as their source of inspiration. A mixture of the pulsating urban landscape and pure nature is also reflected in their prints. In HARDCORE their print fabrics have been applied to cushion covers.
For Fokus Fabric, ecological as well as ethical ideals are at the forefront of the fabric production process, with a mix of organic cotton and hemp materials, and a carefully maintained high standard of working conditions for the labor force.
