Bon Bon Kakku

Kokoro & Moi: Bon Bon Kakku Design Fabrics

Kokoro & Moi (formerly known as Syrup Helsinki) is a multidisciplinary design consultancy specializing in brand identity and development, creative direction, art direction, graphic design and interactive design.
The consultancy was founded by designers Teemu Suviala (b. 1977) and Antti Hinkula (b. 1976) in 2001. Both Teemu and Antti graduated from the Institute of Design, Lahti University of Applied Sciences in 2001. Teemu has also studied in the University of Art and Design Helsinki.
In HARDCORE the company presents a web based design concept under the title Bon Bon Kakku. Bon Bon Kakku is a pioneering net store concept that gives the customers the opportunity to design their own fabrics. Launched in 2008, Bon Bon Kakku explores a whole new approach to fabric design – the designer can be anyone, including you. Everything takes place online at www.bonbonkakku.com where you can submit and rate designs. When a fabric receives enough votes cast by the visitors to the web site, it goes to production and can be bought directly from the shop section of the site. The goal is to find great designs and new ideas, and to promote internationally these cutting edge designs created by the general audience.
