koneHELSINKI: Robbie Evita Jeans

koneHELSINKI (the Finnish word ‘kone’ means ‘machine’ in English) is a design company founded by Finnish fashion designer Kalle Kuusela (b. 1976) in 1997. koneHELSINKI has recently been passed on to new owners; however, Kuusela still continues to work for the company as an independent designer.
Unique and innovative jeans are one of koneHELSINKI’s specialities. Jeans are often a piece of clothing that has a tendency to look like mere variations of the same theme - despite small changes in fashion, every pair looks basically the same.
koneHelsinki’s jeans, on the contrary, show that even jeans can be uniquely captivating in their design. The distinctive koneHELSINKI leather belts are custom made to order by hand to harmoniously fit the individual customer’s personal way of wearing the koneHELSINKI jeans. The model Robbie Evita, on show in HARDCORE, was originally designed in 1997 and modified in 2007 along with the belt.
